Team at Focus (Under 17's)

The under 17's coached by former Balmain Tiger's and Ryde- Eastwood veteran Brett Angelini had a tough ask this season after being put into the NSWICCC competition, this competition consists of Competitions:
- Canterbury Bulldogs Junior Rugby League
- St George Dragons Junior Rugby League
- South Sydney Junior Rugby League
- Sydney Roosters Junior Rugby League
- Balmain Junior Rugby League

These 5 competitions merged to make one tough and difficult competition, consisting of 17 teams. The couragous Under 17's team got off to a flying start winning their first two games, prior to going into a bit of a slump and loss off form which lead to them dropping all the way down to 7th place. The Shamrock's team started believing in themselves and the 10 Balmain Tiger representative players as well as the other 10 great players came together and strung a few games together seeing themselves at the top of this challenging competition and finish minor premiers. Unfortunately the under 17's lost their major semi-final to a big Bankstown Bulls outfit and saw themselves in sudden death territory the next week against another tough competitor in the St George Dragons who got the better of them and granted the 17's Shamrocks with an early exit to the competition.

The History of this Great Club!

The Dundas Shamrocks were formed in the mid 1960's, as an attachment to school St Patricks Marist College, Dundas as an addition to sporting commitments among the Balmain Junior Rugby League Competition. This Club has been part of the Balmain Rugby League Competition for over 50 years and provides a great opportunity to reach the big stage playing along side Tigers star Benji Marshall!

Who is the Dundas Shamrocks?

The Dundas Shamrocks are a Junior League Team in the Balmain Tigers Districted situated in the heart of Dundas. The Shamrocks consist of 14 teams and in the year of 2010 had a club best of 8 out of the 14 teams advancing to the grand final at Leichhardt Oval. Shamrock's home ground is St Patricks Marist College, Dundas. Fortunately this great school shares with the Shamrocks and offers a great main field to which many wins occur and 2 other training fields.
